Downloaders, browsers, operating systems, and online platforms can change.
Because of that, some pages need to be reviewed periodically so the instructions continue to match actual conditions.
What Do We Monitor?
Content may need to be updated when there are changes to:
- TikTok link formats
- The Share menu
- Browser download locations
- Android
- IOS and iPadOS
- Desktop browsers
- Output support
- The downloader flow
- Or errors users frequently encounter.
Pages That Most Often Need Review
Review priority is usually given to:
- The homepage
- TikTok MP3
- TikTok Story Downloader
- Photo Downloader
- Slideshow Downloader
- The Android guide
- The iPhone guide
- Troubleshooting
- How We Test
- Privacy Policy
- And Terms of Use.
What Triggers an Update?
A page can be updated when:
- Functionality changes
- User steps change
- Internal links change
- Screenshots no longer match
- A new error is found
- New information has been verified
- Or an accurate user report is received.
“Last Updated”
This date changes only if the page is actually corrected or substantively reviewed.
We do not automatically change the date every few days just to create the impression that the content is new.
“Last Tested”
The testing date should be separate from the editorial date when needed.
Last tested is used when tool functionality is actually tested.
Example:
Last tested: October 4, 2026
should only be displayed if testing was actually performed on that date.
Version Notes
For downloader functionality, we may display an internal version number if useful.
Example:
Tool version: 1.4.2
A version number must come from a real system rather than being a decorative number.
Screenshots
Screenshots need to be updated if:
- Buttons change
- A menu moves
- Option names are different
- Or an old image can confuse users.
A screenshot does not need to be replaced just because its color changed slightly if the step is still the same.
Evergreen Content
Some sections do not need frequent changes.
Examples include:
- The difference between MP3 and MP4
- Copyright explanations
- Responsible use
- Or the concept of private videos.
Content like this is updated only when there is a clear reason.
No Fake Update Schedule
We do not promise that every page is updated every day, every week, or every month if that process does not actually happen.
Review frequency is based on:
- The importance of the page
- The rate of change
- And user needs.
Content That Is No Longer Relevant
If a function is no longer available, we may:
- Update the page
- Remove the claim
- Merge pages
- Redirect the URL
- Or remove the page if it is no longer useful.
Decisions are made according to user needs, not simply to preserve the number of pages.
Change Records
For important changes, an internal record may store:
- The date
- The page
- The section changed
- The reason for the change
- And who performed the review.
